The 37th International Cat Show held last Saturday 27th October was a success. There were many breeds of cats exhibited amongst Siberians, Kurillian Bob tails, Siamise, Persians, Colourpoints, Exotics and many more. In fact this was the first time that a special breed like Kurillian Bob Tail was exhibited for the first time in Malta. Several breeders from our neighbour country Italy came over with their beloved felines to participate in this International Cat Show. The judge Mr Cesare Ghisi from Mantova Italy did a very good job throughout his day judging all the splendid cats. Besides the normal competition, there were also the Rings – Kitten, Neuter and Adult and also the specialties of the Kitten and Tabby Markings respectively. All the exhibitors were very well prepared with their cats as regards grooming, since this needs a lot of preparation weeks prior the show takes place. The winners were various amongst which the General Best in Show was won by a Black Tortie Tabby Blotched an Exotic Persian cat with the name of Ch. IT* Radiosa del Falco D’Oro. There was a great suspense at the end of the show when the judge chosen Radiosa as the Best Cat in the show amongst all the others. A well done goes to all the exhibitors for their hard work and effort. Also the committee, including the stewards worked very hard and it was evident when one notices the well organized show.
The MFGC would like to invite you for the forthcoming International Cat Show which will take place on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th of November at the Savoy Arcades, Valletta.
